The Morrill Tip-Top 4-H Club met on Monday, March 25, at the Morrill Community Building. The regular monthly meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. by President Estie Grimm. Michael Tedman led the club in the Pledge of Allegiance and the 4-H Pledge.

For roll call, members answered with what time they get up on Saturdays. The minutes of last month’s meeting were read. Nellie Grimm led the club in singing “Jesus Loves Me.” The club sang “Happy Birthday” to all 4-H members who had March birthdays.

The Treasurer’s report was given by Treasurer Logan Ploeger. Reporter Lydia Hartter reported that she submitted last month’s article to The Sabetha Herald. There were no leader reports. The community service committee announced that our club would be cleaning up the landscape at Sabetha Elementary School and Sabetha Middle School at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 4.

For this month’s program, E. Grimm gave a Parliamentarian lesson on how to make a motion. L. Ploeger gave a talk on what parts of a sheep you can eat, showing the club the wooden sheep puzzle he made. Will Hartter gave a talk on how to make a winning Pinewood Derby car. Alton Hartter gave a talk on what soil is made of, and he demonstrated how to make edible layers of soil. Elsie Ploeger gave a talk about hamsters and showed the club her pet hamster.

After the meeting was adjourned, the club recited the 4-H motto, “To make the best better.” Mary Tedman led the club in playing Musical Chairs. Snacks were provided by the Matt and Michelle Tedman family.

The next regular monthly meeting will be held at 7 p.m. April 22 in the Morrill Community Building.
