The Sabetha High School golf team opened their season with a home meet during the partial solar eclipse on Monday, April 8. The sky might have dimmed a little during the meet, but the Jays lit up the course with a first-place finish.

As the round went on, I thought that continued and they played with confidence, which showed in the results.”

Sabetha placed first overall with a four-man team score of 328. They were followed by Maur Hill in second with a score of 364, Nemaha Central in third with a score of 380, Horton in fourth with a score of 383, Rock Creek in fifth with a score of 384, Silver Lake in sixth with a score of 388, Holton in seventh with a score of 413, Hiawatha in eighth with a score of 433, Marysville in ninth with a score of 457 and Atchison in 10th with a score of 514.
