Sabetha takes first during Big 7 League Tournament

On Monday, May 6, the Sabetha Bluejay golf team played against five competitive teams during the Big 7 League Tournament at the Lake Perry Country Club in Ozawkie, Kan.

Competing in the tournament were Sabetha, Holton, Jefferson West, Nemaha Central, Hiawatha and Perry-Lecompton. Sabetha took first place at the tournament with 315 strokes. Following Sabetha was Holton in second place with 327 strokes, Jeff West in third with 361, Nemaha Central in fourth with 372, Hiawatha in fifth with 394 and Perry-Lecompton in sixth place with 407 strokes.

Leading the Jays was junior Cole Moore in third place with a score of 77. After Moore was senior Cole Grimes tying for fourth place with 79 strokes, senior Cullen Wikle also tied for fourth with 79, junior Roman Scoby placed sixth with 80, senior Dalton Rokey tied for 11th with 88 and junior Caleb Renyer tied for 13th place with 90 strokes.
