Jail Booking/Release

Ashley M. Martinez, 35, of Topeka was booked into the Nemaha County Jail on May 23 on a Nemaha County warrant for failure to appear. She remains in custody with bond set at $25,000.

Joshua M. Young, 22, of DuBois, Neb., was arrested on May 23 by the Seneca Police Department (PD) on a Nemaha County warrant for failure to appear. He was released on $1,000 cash bond on May 23 with a court date of June 18 at 9:30 a.m.

Charles R. Smith II was released on May 23 on $50,000 and $5,000 own recognizance bonds on two cases with a court date of June 27 at 10 a.m.

Timothy M. Homan, 56, of Seneca was arrested on May 27 by the Seneca PD for the offenses of criminal trespass and interference with law enforcement. Homan remains in custody.

Keith D. Kleckner, 22, of Sabetha was arrested on May 27 by the Sabetha PD for the offense of domestic battery. Kleckner remains in custody.

Timothy Homan was released on a $3,000 surety bond on May 28 with a court date of June 19 at 4 p.m.

Keith Kleckner was released on a $1,000 bond on May 28 with a court date of June 20 at 4 p.m.

Crash Reports

At 12:05 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, Jaime L. Allen, 40, of Centralia was traveling northbound on Kansas Highway 62, 1/2 mile north of 24th Road, when she struck a deer. Allen was driving a 2016 Toyota Sienna. Damage was estimated at more than $1,000.

At 8 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, Matthew Meyer, 25, of Sabetha was traveling northeast on 180th Road, 300 feet from U Road, when he lost control of his vehicle, striking a bridge banister. Meyer was driving a 2019 Ford F550. Damage was estimated at more than $1,000.

At 5:10 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, Carmen Cobian, 23, of Seneca was traveling northbound on W Road, 1/2 mile north of 160th Road, when she struck a deer, causing her vehicle to leave the roadway. Cobian was driving a 2020 Ford Escape. She was transported via ambulance to Sabetha Community Hospital with injuries. Damage was estimated at more than $1,000.

At 8:20 a.m. Thursday, May 23, Matthew Snellings, 47, of Marysville was traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 36, 1/2 mile east of 30th Road, when he struck a deer. Snellings was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Aveo. Damage was estimated at more than $1,000.

At 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, Elizabeth Sudbeck, 76, of Bern was traveling eastbound on Kansas Highway 71, 1/2 mile east of Kansas Highway 63, when she struck a deer. Sudbeck was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse. Damage was estimated at more than $1,000.
