Raptors fall to First National

The Sabetha Raptors traveled to Auburn, Neb., for a contest with First National Bank of Johnson County on Saturday, June 8. The Raptors were held to a pair of hits and fell by a 10-2 margin after five innings.

Pitcher Marcus Bauman and third baseman Isaac Hartter each had one hit and one RBI for the Raptors. Bauman opened the game on the mound for the Raptors and pitched three innings, allowing 10 runs on six hits with seven walks and four strikeouts. Gavin Wedel pitched the final inning for the Raptors and allowed one hit in retiring the side.

The Raptors scored a run in the first and second inning to lead 2-1 going into the bottom of the second inning, but First National put up big numbers in the bottom of the second and third innings to put the game out of reach.
