Kansas Connections Academy, a tuition-free online public school, has kicked off the 2026-27 school year, marking its 17th year of serving K-12 students and families across Kansas.

Expected to serve approximately 1,350 students this year, Kansas Connections Academy delivers a personalized educational experience designed to help students thrive academically and keep them engaged with a strong circle of support and a deep sense of belonging. The school combines the flexibility of online learning with the support of dedicated educators, a connected school community and programs that empower students to learn in the ways that work best for them. Students also have access to advanced coursework, extracurricular opportunities and college and career readiness resources that help prepare them for success beyond graduation.

Positive Parent Satisfaction Survey Results

Students are returning to school shortly after the release of the 2026 Parent Satisfaction Survey, an annual third-party survey that provides families with the opportunity to review their experience at Kansas Connections Academy. According to the survey results:

The Kansas Connections Academy Experience

Kansas Connections Academy provides a high-quality educational experience where students have regular opportunities to share ideas, compare experiences and have fun learning with their peers through online classroom sessions.
