For the October monthly meeting, the Fairview Willing Workers 4-H Club gathered at a club family’s pond. They grilled and enjoyed a pot luck meal, fishing and recreation on the playset.
The club made boo-bags for the Homestead Assisted Living nursing home during the 48 hours of 4-H community service challenge. The boo-bags included candy, handmade Halloween cards, lotion and fuzzy socks.
October has been a busy month for the club. On Oct. 1, several members met at with the Fairview Mayor at the city council meeting to have him sign the proclamation declaring the upcoming week was 4-H for the club. October is also sign-up month for 4-H. 4-H is for children ages 7-18 and you also can become clover bud at age 5-6.
If your family is interested in learning more about 4-H and the Fairview Willing Workers, you are all welcome at our future meetings to see if 4-H is right for you. If you have questions, please contact Connie at 785-285-1376.
