The Association of Nemaha County Retired School Personnel met for its regular meeting on Monday, Nov. 3, at the Buzz Café in downtown Sabetha. The meeting was called to order by co-president Joyce Fee at 11:30 a.m. Following the invocation, she gave the roll call, “With this being the month of Thanksgiving, what are you most thankful for?” It was answered by the nine members in attendance.
The secretary’s report and the treasurer’s reports were both read and approved. Co-president Fee announced that dues for 2026 are now payable.
The group discussed the upcoming Give to Grow Day, and worked on preparing letters of communication to retired colleagues informing them that the organization and its scholarship fund is now an affiliate of the Greater Sabetha Community Foundation, and is thus eligible for contributions at the upcoming Give to Grow Days, Nov. 19-21. The group discussed the Friday, Nov. 21, Walk-in Day at the Main Event, and our display and profile that will be available for viewing that day.
Co-president Fee announced the meeting dates for the upcoming year. They are: March 3, May 5, July 7, Sept. 1 and Nov. 2. Meetings will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the Buzz Café unless otherwise indicated.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:30 p.m.
