My name is Jacoby Jackman, and I am a senior at Sabetha High School. I participate in the PLE program with a placement at Edelmans Home Center, where my mentor is Jared Meyer, the HVAC technician for the business. I work there each afternoon from 1:50 p.m. to 3:25 p.m. I chose Edelmans as my PLE placement because I plan to pursue a career in HVAC after high school.

During my time at Edelmans, I have observed the HVAC team install new air conditioning units and furnaces, as well as perform furnace checks and service calls. I have also had the opportunity to assist them with many of these tasks. Through this experience, I have gained valuable knowledge, along with helpful tips and tricks that will benefit me in college and in my future career. I am very thankful for this opportunity made possible by Jared, Jeanne and Loren Edelman, and so many others. It has given me a clear idea of what to look forward to after high school and beyond.
