Ronald Brooks was released to the custody of Kansas Department of Corrections on Dec. 11.

Jessica L. Rowell, 40, of Falls City, Neb., was booked into the Nemaha County Jail on Dec. 11 on a Nemaha County failure to appear warrant. She was released on Dec. 11 on a $274.88 bond with a court date of Jan. 6 at 9:30 a.m.

Gavin J. Strahm, 20, of Bern was arrested on Dec. 13 by the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office for the offense of driving under the influence. Strahm was released on Dec. 13 on a $1,000 bond with a court date of Jan. 6 at 9:30 a.m.

Crash Reports

At 7:15 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, Crystalyn R. Koch, 41, of Marysville, was traveling northbound on Kansas Highway 63, 0.2 mile north of 104th, when she struck a deer. She was driving a 2006 Chrysler Town & Country. Damage was estimated at more than $1,000.

At 1:08 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, Gavin J. Strahm, 20, of Bern was traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 75 at 232nd Road. Strahm crossed the center line and sideswiped a southbound vehicle driven by Felix C. Mares, 66, of Omaha, Neb. Strahm was driving a 2018 Dodge truck, and Mares was driving a 2016 Dodge truck. Damage was estimated at more than $1,000.
