The Kids Kloset officially owns a building!

The Kids Kloset, which has been located at The Main Event in Sabetha, will be moving to 118 Washington in Sabetha — the former Sabetha Lanes building. The Kids Kloset purchased the building from Randy Garcia.

“The payment has been made and we are now speaking with contractors,” said Kids Kloset Directors Kim Rettele and Kim Harrell. “This is a huge dream of ours to have a space, of our own, to continue supporting the families within USD 113. We will provide updates as the renovation progresses. Thank you, Randy Garcia, you are one of the best and thank you, Sabetha, for the continued support!”

During the recent Give to Grow event, The Kids Kloset received 71 gifts, totaling $34,728.90. These donations helped make the purchase of the building possible.

While the space is not fully ready, The Kids Kloset board will start making the necessary improvements to their new space, including updating electrical, updating plumbing, heating system improvement, the installation of a drop ceiling to increase heating and cooling efficiency, and new flooring to ensure safety.

“These upgrades will allow us to create a comfortable and accessible environment where families can receive the support they need with dignity,” Rettele and Harrell said.

If anyone in the community feels called to help with the renovation process, they are encouraged to contact Rettele at 785-285-0835 or Harrell at 785-285-0910.
