Over the last month, I have gained a firsthand look at how teamwork, hard work, and determination plays a very important role in agricultural machinery manufacturing. I have been doing my PLE (Professional Learning Experience) at USC, LLC. My mentors are Jason Nordhus and Andy Vogel.

My name is Joshua Enneking, and I am a senior at Sabetha High school. I have the opportunity to go to USC for the last two hours of the school day and gain experience every day. While working in the agricultural industry this short time, I have grown to enjoy it more and more. The farming area hasn’t always been my cup of tea, but with learning more about it through my PLE experience, I’ve realized it’s what I want to pursue a career in.

During my time at my work site each day, I have learned about the different areas/departments at USC. I have been able to see all the technology and parts that go into control panels and how the Tri-Flo has been revolutionary for continuous seed flow and weighing. Also, I have been able to see how the different machines work in the process of creating all the products for customers.

In my time working at USC, it has really been amazing to see everything that goes into the process of this company and what all they do for not only our community but farmers internationally. I am beyond grateful for this opportunity that USC and Sabetha High School have given me, as well as everything Jason, Andy, and the employees have done for me at USC.
