Jail Booking/Release

Kenneth Simpkins, 38, of Topeka was booked into the Nemaha County Jail on July 14 on two Nemaha County warrants for failure to appear. Simpkins remains in custody. Bond is set at $2,000 cash/surety.

Travis Ralph, 48, of Seneca was arrested on July 16 by the Seneca Police Department on a Nemaha County warrant for failure to appear. Ralph was released on the same day on a $500 cash bond. Court is set for Aug. 18 at 9:30 a.m.

Devlin Ainsworth, 20, of Kansas City, Kan., was arrested on July 17 by Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ainsworth was released on the same day on a $1,500 bond. Court is set for Aug. 18 at 9:30 a.m.

Jeffra Barnes, 52, of Hiawatha was booked into the Nemaha County Jail on July 19 on a Nemaha County warrant for failure to appear. Barnes was released on the same day on a $500 cash bond. Court is set for Aug. 18 at 9:30 a.m.

Crash Reports

At 1:25 a.m. Friday, July 17, Alijah Collins, 23, of Centralia was traveling eastbound on Kansas Highway 9, 0.2 mile east of D Road, when he struck a deer. Collins was driving a 2024 Hyundai Elantra. Damage was estimated at more than $1,000.
