The July meeting of the Stateliners 4-H Club was held on Sunday, July 26, in the Open Class room of the Nemaha County Community Building in Seneca. This meeting also served as our Club Tour meeting as members talked about exhibits they brought to fair after the meeting was adjourned. President Anna Jost called the meeting to order at 4 pm. Flag Salute, 4-H Pledge and Motto were led by Corbin Meyer and Kayla Strahm. Adalynn Edelman lead us in signing “Old McDonald.” Roll call was answered with members sharing their favorite vacation spot.

June meeting minutes were unavailable and will be approved at the August meeting. Alyssa Griffith gave the Treasurer’s report. Lindy Mosteller reported that the June meeting reports were sent to The Sabetha Herald and Seneca Courier-Tribune. The parade float committee reported that we will be decorating the float after the meeting.

Club Leader Amanda Edelman thanked all the families for working our shift at the concession stand and reminded us that our club had to dump trash barrels Monday morning. She shared that Kansas State Fair entries are due Aug. 7 and encouraged all members to send exhibits if we qualified. Amanda Edelman ran through a list of reminders from fair, the coming fall and shared the next 4-H Council meeting will be Aug. 10.

There was no business to discuss and the program was by all members sharing their fair exhibits and results after we adjourned. Susie Edelman read the announcements for the August meeting which will be the Parent Meeting. Club members enjoyed a $5 meal coupon at the concession stand after decorating the club float. Our next meeting will be held Aug. 24 at the Bern Community Building.
