My name is Samantha Schultejans, and I am a senior at Sabetha High School. For my PLE (Professional Learning Experience), I am at Sabetha Elementary School. My mentor is Yalana Edelman; she is a second grade teacher. I work with her in the morning every day for the 25-26 school year.

I chose second grade because I get to interact with countless students. I chose my mentor because she is incredible at her job. Working with my mentor, I have been able to learn classroom management and observe different ways children learn. From this experience, I have adapted to being more patient and understanding towards young students; I have also learned how to teach and help kids who are struggling.

I am thankful that I took advantage of the PLE option because I have learned so much from Mrs. Edelman! She has really influenced my desire to become an education provider because of how well she treats her students. I am excited to learn more!
