At 3:35 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, Garrett W. Burns, 31, of Holton was being pursued by the police traveling eastbound on Kansas Highway 20, or 0.1 mile east of Timber Road. His front wheel dropped off the shoulder and he over-corrected, causing his 2009 Chevrolet pickup to go into the ditch, rolling onto the driver’s side. His truck came to rest on its wheels. Burns was taken to Hiawatha Hospital with suspected minor injuries and was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
